I don’t think I have spoken specifically about using Twitter as a job search tool. First, do some research and determine some companies that you want to work for. Then set up a Twitter account if you don’t already have one and follow those companies on your list. You can find out about jobs faster because companies are getting smart and using their large following to find candidates. And you will “hear” of postings faster because the posting on Twitter is real time as opposed to a job board like Monster where it takes around 2 or 3 days to see a listing posted. So you can get in on the action early and have less competition in those first few days. And don’t forget there are lots of recruiters on Twitter, so expand your opportunities and follow those that fit your needs and start connecting.
And don’t forgot to try @Microjobs and Tweet My Jobs which are also great tools for job seekers.
